Deborah's Javascript Page

Here is my attempt to help other people with Javascript. I am not a Javascript programmer but am trying to learn enough about it so that I can add interest to my pages. Some of the scripts you will find as I add them I actually did write. Others I modified to fit my needs. Some I had trouble getting to run so I have included instructions.

In all cases, the code was free and I have retained all of the copyright information as well as the original URL. Be sure to include that information in any of the scripts you use on your own pages.

  • Take the Elvis quiz for fun. This was my first attempt at this type of script.

  • Here is a great pop-up script. When the visitor to your page points to the hyperlink, a little box pops up with an image and a description. I found this at Dynamic Drive and modified it to add images. For a better example of this script in action click here and point to one of the menu items on the left side of the page. Be sure to come back here though.

  • This page has examples of how to add the system date and time to the page.

  • Greet your visitors with a personalized hello. Try adding the script on the Greeting page to your page.

  • Put a Scrolling Message on the status bar of the visitor's browser.
